The MMO market is crushed with clones. There are so many elves and dwarves and orcs running around that a game really has to stand out for its art or gameplay to really make a mark. Cryptic Studios is hoping to do both of these while moving away from the overused fantasy setting with City of Heroes, an ode to comic books from all ages in a massively multiplayer persistent world set in Paragon City, a metropolis full of history, corruption, and of course, fledgling superheroes.
