As far as gameplay goes, Gladius is a turn-based strategy RPG. You’ll recruit a variety of gladiators and then face off against your opponents in the ring. During a character's turn you can move them across the arena, attack nearby enemies, or perform a variety of unique skills. When attacking there is a swing meter that will allow you to perform more powerful attacks by pressing buttons at specific times. You can go the easy route and get a weak hit, or take a risk and go for the most powerful hit. It adds even more strategy and some excitement to combat.
