If you head over to Voodooextreme, you will find another review of Diablo 2 - Lord of Destruction, which is rated very positive with a 91% score:

If you never liked the original game (or its sequel) the Lord of Destruction won’t magically change your mind about Diablo’s trademarked “click fest” style of game play. If you do like Diablo II and are looking to freshen up your quality time on Battle.net, then the Lord of Destruction is a great pick-up. With the two new character classes, fifth act, powerful new monsters, outrageous new magic items and craft system, the Lord of Destruction will make you lose sleep, neglect your family’s needs and even miss work from playing it. It’s just that good, and is a must-have for any hardcore Diabloholic.
