RPGDot Game Rating Machine

radioman970 has rated the following games:

Baldur's Gate: 10/10 points

Just when you thought playing Ultima Underworld 2 for the 3rd time though would be your only way to experience good RPG on your pc again. BG was a welcome site on the shelf. Worth every penny of the $45 I paid for it.

Dungeon Master: 10/10 points

By today's standards DM is pretty low. But in 1987 it made me buy a memory upgrade. I had to wait nearly a year to play it. But once I loaded it up on my Amiga it captivated me for years. It was also the single biggest source of my disappointment when buying a pc in 1994. It took years to find a game that had the same kind of creepy sound as DM on the Amiga. Eventually I found the Ultima Underworlds. But DM is a classic title!

Dungeon Master 2 - The Legend of Skullkeep: 8/10 points

Updated graphics from the original. Very interesting (at the time) animations and weather effects. However, I missed the gray brick walls of the Amiga version I had of the original. A welcome release at the time. Let's have a Morrowind-esque Dungeon Master III!!

Heretic 2: 8/10 points

As an RPG this doesn't rate very high. As an action game it is a 10! Amazing visuals and animations. The creature in the game will get you while you're admiring their look! FPS 10. RPG 7.5.

Hired Guns: 10/10 points

Almost unseated Dungeon Master as my favorite Amiga game. Four windows for four different characters on the screen at the same time! Four of your friends could play with you on the same computer. I didn't like the pc version. Tioo many other pc games were better (such as Doom and Wolfenstein 3D). I give a 10 for the Amiga version.

Thief - The Dark Project: 10/10 points

RIP Looking Glass. You were injoyed my friends! This "sneaker" is huge and spooky! Great RPG elements too.

Thief 2 - The Metal Age: 10/10 points

Wonderful sequel. During it's development I read where the developers were removing most of the zombies. Talk about disappointment!! They were my favorites. Scared the crap out of me on many an occation. Still top notch stuff! And still available in some places. Get it and the original!

Ultima Underworld 1 - The Stygian Abyss: 10/10 points

Having come from the Amiga I wanted a game like this badly on my new pc. Wonderfully detailed and creatively designed dungeons. Outdated nowdays for sure. Glad they are remaking them.

Ultima Underworld 2 - Labyrinth of Worlds: 10/10 points

How do you better a classic? Update every element of the game! This is still a terrific game to check out. Amazing how well it holds up (more so than the original) even today. I used to just walk the halls looking at the ceiling. Games are rarely this detailed. Pick up everything! Morrowind will be like this.
