Sony announces EQ Online Adventures: Frontiers

 -Frontiers Offers New Features for New Players and Enhances Gameplay for Existing Players -

 

SAN DIEGO, CA - May 7, 2003 - Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE), a worldwide leader in massively multiplayer online gaming, announced today that it is developing EverQuest® Online Adventures: Frontiers(tm), the second edition of the groundbreaking massively multiplayer online role-playing game, EverQuest Online Adventures. EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers expands the rich, vibrant fantasy world of Norrath with uncharted territories to explore, new items and spells to acquire, fierce creatures to battle, and a new playable race, the Ogres. Frontiers also offers innovative features such as an in-game tutorial, controller instructions and in-game customer service to make online gaming simple and easy for the new user. Developed exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers is scheduled to ship to retail stores this fall.

EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers uses the Network Adaptor for the PlayStation 2 to connect seamlessly to the Internet via modem or broadband, directing players to dedicated EverQuest Online Adventures servers.  Gamers simply insert the disc and the adventures of Tunaria are just a few button pushes away.
