If you've played any NWN mods at all, chances are you've at least heard of the excellent Dreamcatcher series by Adam Miller. NW Vault has interviewed Adam to discuss what he has been up to:2) With Dreamcatcher complete, you've just released Demon Cards which started off as a mini-game in Demon. Could you give us the history of how this module came about.
Demon is the sequel to the Dreamcatcher campaign. I had been following CODI's work for some time and have fond memories of Planescape: Torment, so I decided to set the story in the Planescape universe. In Shadowlords and Dreamcatcher, people really enjoyed the interactions with their companions, so I wanted to focus the story around them as well. Expect a tale of love, sorrow, and exploring strange new lands.
The Demon Cards game is a mini-game from Demon which took on a life of its own. I wondered if it were possible to simulate playing cards in the game, so I whipped up some placeable cards and a quick gaming table. After awhile, I had created a working game where players can play cards, summon creatures, and win new cards or gold. |
