Battle is a reiteration of FF X’s battle system, except the turn meter on the right of the screen has been removed for the sake of the ATB system, which makes a triumphant return, or not so triumphant if you liked FF X’s system. In my case I wish they had left it as the same battle system as FF X because of the sheer mayhem that is caused with the constant job shifts. Your jobs are limited to your Garment Grid, in which you can place the dress spheres that you had been collecting up to that point. Some grids come with bonus spots and once you cross over them on the way to your next job you can gain abilities for that battle or gain some offensive or defensive bonuses.
