GameSpy: With a few exceptions, the cleric's Water Sprinkler of Nem-Ankh perhaps being the most noteworthy, the older epics can't compete with the best items available to players since the release of the most recent expansions. What are these new epics like, and how do they compare to today's high-end items, like Elemental and Plane of Time gear? How difficult will the quests be to earn them?

Alan Crosby: Aesthetically, the Epic 2.0 weapons are beautiful using all of our new technologies to apply various effects, which make them unlike anything seen before in-game. The new epics will be a stop forward in item progression for Elemental- and Time-equipped folks and will allow them not only to show off the various new particle effects, but also use the items in a practical play as well.
