Gamerz-Edge's Steven McGehee reveals his rather rave review for GPG's classic sequel, Dungeon Siege II...

Fun Factor

Even though I’m not a true RPG gamer, I wouldn’t call DS2 a hardcore RPG. There are many great quests and lots of leveling up and finding goods, but the backbone of the game is still hack and slash. If you’re interested in a lot of battles, as I was, this game is a lot of fun. People who are more interested in character development and lots of non-violent quests might not be as excited about playing this title.

Overall Comment

DS2 is a very successful sequel. Lots of sequels fail to really advance the game or provide few enhancements or only cater to the hardcore fans of the original. DS2 however, not only improves upon an already good game, but makes it increasingly enticing for non-RPG gamers to dive right into the genre. So if you like the first Dungeon Siege, DS2 will certainly offer you plenty of hours of game play. For those gamers who aren’t familiar with the genre, but are interested in getting into it, I suggest they give DS2 a serious look.

Steven awards DS2 an overall 8.8 out of 10 rating!!
