Anarchy Online: 9/10 points |
I heard that the game was buggy at release so I didn't buy at that time, but a few months later the game became stable, I did the 7-day free trial and liked it. It doesn't really have anything inovative compared with the other mmorpg but it has a lot of customization, pretty fun classes to play (and quite different). I started to get bored with playing my main char after a few months, but leveling alts and twinking them is pretty fun so the game will keep my interest for a little longer. For me the the fun I had is worth the money, I would say it can keep you interested about 6-12 months depending on how much you play. |
Black & White: 8/10 points |
I think most of the people that gave low scores thought about it as an RPG and were dissapointed. This in fact is a real time strategy(construc buildings, give orders to people, administer your resources,...) game with some really neat features. It doesn't get a 10 because of some bugs and the campaign was a little too short. |
Dark Age of Camelot: 9/10 points |
This was my first mmorpg (I played EQ after DAoC) and for me it was a great experience. It is stable, very few ways for people to grief you. Class/realm balance is not perfect but pretty good. It has varied classes and spells with very nice visual effects. It encourages grouping (you usually get more experience in a group than solo) but you can always solo if you so desire. Personally I play mmorpg for groups not for solo though. I love thier quest system, which can be put in one two words "no campig" which is a great plus compared with AO or EQ. I leveled a few months my char to 50 then I did RvR/PvP for a few more months before I quit. I played it for a total of 7-8 months before I got bored. But that in my opinion is great for game (I don't expect to play a game forever) and I have no regrets paying for this game. It can be classified as an EQ clone but it is a very well done clone :) |
Earth And Beyond: 4/10 points |
I completely agree with Kelendil and I don't think it can be said better. |

The game has a pretty original idea , first person shooter mmorpg and it has a pretty good design the major problem is CONTENT. It doesn't have enough content for a mmorpg, only 4 classes which are not all that different, likr 10-12 guns and 15 armors for each race. They added magic in retail though, but still not many quests and not all were finished, all chars of the same class look almost identical and you don't really have character customisation too much. I liked the tradeskills though which seem pretty well though out compared with other systems. Another thing I didn't like is that all classes are mostly fighters, no group strategies(healing, buffing, crowd control,..), just everyone shooting the monster till it dies. The problem is they have only 3 people (devs), 1 is coding features , 1 is doing the quests, 1 I forgot what. If they would have had more people working on the content part it would have been a great game. Maybe in a few months this will change ... |
