Here's something Cabal had to say on the Lionheart forums:
    Luck
I believe there is a derived attribute called Fortune that gets applied to nearly every variable roll, thereby making Luck one of the most pervasive and important stats in the game. I'll double check on that to be sure as it was in the original fallout fantasy-Special design document, but I have to have those programmer types to check under the hood to make sure it's in..
If I recall the formula for Fortune correctly, a very low luck will give you a negative fortune, and this small modifier would be applied to most variable rolls. While the modifier is very modest, over the course of the game, the effect of Fortune could be great. Also, we plan to use Luck in some of the dialogues for extra responses, along with Intelligence, Charisma, and Strength, where these attributes are appropriate.

But, yes, we will find ways of making luck interesting and useful, in a random fun sort of way.

    Status
We are getting closer and closer to alpha, which means we're still pre-alpha, until we're not. Work continues at a swift pace, which I must return to! *exit stage left*

    Groins
Currently, the way the crit targeting works, is that you choose one of the main areas to target: arms, legs, body, head. If you score a critical, the game checks to see what kind of critical you achieved. If you crit the head, you would do massive damage, but you also might blind someone. So while you can't specifically target the eyes, you might get lucky and blind someone. If you crit the legs, you would do extra damage, or you might slow an opponent, or knock it down.

Right now, the groin is not targetable and I don't think it's one of the crits you can get from the legs or body. But it could always be considered I suppose.

    Character Creation
    A bit on character creation:

When you choose your race and get to the stat distribution screen, your stats will be adjusted to the racial average. You will then have the chance to distribute free points, or cannibalize other stats to add to your free pool. As is currently implemented, you can't exceed 10 in any stat at this stage, although magic could help you get beyond this. There are racial min/max stats for each race and these too can also be theoretically overcome by magic. The racial averages and min/max scores are not final yet, as we're still balancing, but expect the feralkins to have higher physical stat averages and a higher minimum strength, for instance, than other races. The same for demokins with the charisma stat, and so on.

    Muslims
In real history, the Spanish Inquisition persecuted the jews and those that were not 'sangre limpia' or clean blooded Spanish Catholics. Also in real history, the Reconquista was aimed at removing all the Muslims from Spain.

In Lionheart, magic neatly replaces religion as the cause of history's conflicts. The Spanish Inquisition now seeks those out that are not sangre limpia, Purebloods, and persecutes tainted folk, like feralkins and sylvants. In this game, the Inquisition is not interested in religion or culture, but they are keenly interested in rooting out evil magic.

As for the Muslims and the Knights of Saladin, I wrote them as allies of the west (I rather like the hopeful message of east and west as allies). Though some of their practices are frowned on by the Inquistion, the eastern folk are still old friends of the Templars. The Reconquista in Lionheart became a struggle against those Wielders who became corrupted with their own power. Unfortunately for the good wizards, the Inquisition and the people of Europe started to fear all wizard-types, and persecuted all Wielders.

    War wielders?
The War Wizards were disbanded by the Inquisition, but as the timeline suggested, it's possible there could be Wielders in hiding that might be sympathetic to a magically inclined character..

    Arrows and bolts
Arrows and bolts will not be unlimited, the game tracks how many arrows you are carrying.
