Thinking beyond current game technology, the Client Team is already planning for the next generation of graphic cards and PC systems. In fact, Bruno says, some game content won’t be fully appreciated until the next technological advance comes along. In the meantime, the team’s strategy includes using the most versatile tools currently available. For example, Mythica requires DirectX 9 for such features as its high level shaders, a system which will help the engine scale to future hardware during the game’s longer shelf life. |
