Eve Preview at Gamers Europe

A new preview of Eve Online: The Second Genesis has been posted at Gamers Europe. Again, here's something for you:
For new players, an online game can often be very daunting and hugely confusing; often players will be killed by some fool who thought it a good idea to attack a weaker player. To help prevent this several areas have been created known as Security Zones where the law enforcers are everywhere, preventing players from attacking other players. Should that happen expect to get an ass filled with bullets fairly soon. There’s also a logical three-tier level of progression to ease you into Eve Online. The first tier is simple mining stuff and hands-on work, including a few clashes with other players. The second tier is expanded – you’re moving up the ranks in your chosen corporation (though it’s perfectly possible to switch corporations, the more popular with one the less you are with another), you’re buying a few space stations and factories and generally living in harmony with others. The third tier is the heavy stuff, you’re right at the head of the corporation (possibly even owning it), you’re controlling whole solar systems and carrying out hit-and-run attacks against your enemies. You’ll band together with other corporations to protect each other more at this level than any other level. Or that’s the plan at least, the execution, while pretty much one course throughout beta, could change once the general release ahs come.
