Lionheart Item Feature 3
2003-03-17
Lionheart is a computer role playing game that is being developed by Reflexive Entertainment in conjunction with Black Isle Studios. The game is an original title which uses an updated version of the SPECIAL character development system (from Fallouts 1 and 2) in a quasi-historical medieval Europe. Lionheart diverges from traditional high fantasy by placing the player on Earth in the 16th century in which history has taken a different path and magic has been released upon the world. Using a mix of historical and fictional locations and characters, the player progresses through a deep story while advancing through the classless character system.
In this new series of articles, designers of the game will introduce several items from the game

Bow of Icy Carnage (Two-Handed)
Originally created to fight Fire Drakes in the Fourth Crusade against the Storm Dragons in 1241, this bow increases the damage that its wielder does with cold by 25%. It also causes 60% more piercing damage than a regular bow. However, a Ranged Weapons skill of 85 is required to equip this item.

The Everlasting (Two-Handed)
Crushing 1-15. The dark history of this hammer is entrenched with the invading Mongol hordes running rampant throughout Europe in 1242. While many of these hammers were created to turn back the Mongol swarms, most have been lost or destroyed by goblins, who violently detest them. With good cause, as the hammer's enchantments deal an additional 25 points of damage when used against goblins. In addition, the weapon provides 15 Two-Handed Weapon skill points and +5 to Armor Class. The stench of goblin blood fouls the intricate runes carved along the grip.

Serpent's Bile
There is no stronger drink than the Serpent's Bile. This brew will make you feel like you have the strength of two men, but might leave you with half the reason and wit.
