RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Azur has rated the following games:

Baldur's Gate: 4/10 points

Severely overrated. Consists almost entirely of endless amounts random combat, each of which drags on and on and on. The sequel is worlds better than this annoying crud.

Baldur's Gate 2 - Throne of Bhaal: 7/10 points

Probably the best high-fantasy hack-em-up RPG.

Blade of Darkness: 4/10 points

Bad graphics (even for the day), useless controls, constant combat, pointless story. Avoid.

Curse Of The Azure Bonds: 8/10 points

Good story. This is IMO the best of the Gold Box series of games.

Doomdark's Revenge: 9/10 points

Hoplessly dated today, but one fantastic game for its time, both technically and content-wise. Plus it wasn't as buggy as the prequel, Lords of Midnight.

Dungeon Master: 7/10 points

Hoplessly dated by now, but in its day a great game.

Gothic 2: 9/10 points

One of the best RPGs to be released the last few years. Much better than Morrowind, slightly ahead of KOTOR.

Ultima 4 - Quest of the Avatar: 2/10 points

Don't think any game has annoyed me so badly as this one. I'd have perfect moral, get in a random fight, smite my enemies with a mighty fireball - and when the first enemies die, the others break, meaning the fireball kills fleeing enemies, and bye bye perfect moral. This happened like 50 times before I quite in disgust.
