If you left AO due to the problems during the starting pahes of the game, Funcom now offers you to revisit the game for free in December. This is the message they posted at their community site:

We have some really good news for you today: We want to give former customers of Anarchy Online the chance to see for themselves where the game stands today, and have decided to give them the opportunity to re-evaluate the game during the month of December!

As of today, we have opened cancelled accounts to be accessed free of charge for a full month (Does not apply to banned accounts and accounts closed due to missing payment). The re-opened accounts will close automatically when the period ends.

Anarchy Online keeps pulling in new customers every day, and our online world is gradually evolving with new expansion patches and stability improvements. However, as you all know, we did loose some customers during the first difficult time after release.

By introducing the re-evaluation offer now, we are giving your old gaming friends a chance to see where the game stands today. We hope you will all welcome them back to the playfield, and that you will take good care of them! Just remember that this offer is for all of you: The more people that play, the better!

Former players can log on to Anarchy Online with their old username and password.

So, maybe you want to give AO a second try...
