The folks at EGCore have a new editorial up today, called "Evolution of a MMORPG Generation: Rebuttal" It's a continuation of one of their editorials from a couple of days ago, which you can find here. The discussion is about the risk vs reward principle in MMORPG's. It's hard to recognise any structure and a real point in the editorial, but this snip is pretty interesting:
And in response to the very last sentence Garth'ilk has provided, I’d like to offer this: the casual player has more goals then you’re willing to give them. It’s not about reaching the top, being the very first and or the very best. It’s about enjoying the game, exploring, finding friends, finding something new and most of all developing a character away from the crush of real life. With out those limits placed upon them by modern society.
