SergioCQH has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from SergioCQH)

The dream has come true for many fans of AD&D and CRPGs. Here is a bridge to take AD&D gaming from the pen-and-paper past to the digital future. Here is the 3rd Edition in almost all of its glory. Neverwinter Nights is a truly seminal project that will be remembered as a significant leap forward in the evolution of CRPGs. It is perhaps the first ever to empower the player with the ability to create and control his own adventures and to share it with others. This is history, be a part of it!

Sweeper has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sweeper)

Poor implementation of the 3rd edition of the ad&d rules makes the game quite unplayable in rpg therms. Good Graphics Though.

This game has lots of potential, but is average at best in it's current state.

Just get this higher than Fallout for crying out loud.

Jamey333 has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Jamey333)

This is everything I hoped it would be. The 4.5 year wait is over and it was worth the wait.

Rendelius has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Rendelius)

Nice one, although I expected a little more. Basically, I am a little bit annoyed with the camera, the unstable toolset and the poor graphics in the inventory. Gameplay, however, is very nice. A Baldur's Gate in 3D - entertaining, but not groundbreaking as expected

Stareye has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Stareye)

Great-'nuff said...

Lafferty has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Lafferty)

Wow. The best Rpg i've seen this far. Still some little flaws, but BlackIsle is diong its best. This is the way i want rpgs for the computer to look like in future (especially the DM-Client and the Aurora Toolset).

hizaira has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from hizaira)

From an paper D&D fan...this is the best yet

Ferwill has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ferwill)

Great game but of course it was a bit hyped up, in a month or two once my DM gets scripts and world building all figured out and finishes a campaign, I'm pretty sure it will be a lot more fun.........yet I do believe the campign building will take much time (every single time we want a new campaign)

Dragonlord76 has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Dragonlord76)

Once again another exquisite rpg has been released. and again the close up graphics enchance the action of it all. The thing I don't like about this game though is that the weapons don't look any better than those of the previous rpgs HM&M3 BG1+2. And that the navigational graphics aren't great compared to Baulder's Gate Series. Overall good work on this game.

60 hours of Gameplay... One of the best additions is the great editting tools to recreate any fantasies. Character models are astounding...

Incredible in design, scope, and implementation. A groundbreaker.

garrett has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from garrett)

A little disappointing, because I expected more from the creators of the Baldur's Gate saga. But it offers almost everthing that makes a RPG addictive! Outbests Dungeon Siege by far.

Rick has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Rick)

Finally The One we've been waiting for! For every game I've played and always "missed" something - this is the one thats got it. Single player campaign was far more than I expected it to be considering all the things promised. The story was incredible well thought-out. Add in the Multiplayer, and then the DM Client and this is the best FRPG for the money available. On top of THAT you can build your OWN modules and worlds!! How can this not be a 10?

Hedley Lamaar has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Hedley Lamaar)

Didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I do. This is a really fun game, awesome graphics and a huge world to explore.

EverythingXen has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from EverythingXen)

My review here sums up my thoughts on it. It doesn't bring anything new, no... besides a good implementation of the 3e ruleset. But not everything needs to be innovative and shiny new.

Jeff Hildreth has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Jeff Hildreth)

Excellent game. The singleplayer is fun and being able to build my own modules is even more fun. It took some time learning the scripts, but you can borrow any of the ones used in the campaign and you can easily find hundreds on the internet. This is everything that I was hoping for. Now I just hope that we can have more monsters and items and tilesets.

Warfran has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Warfran)

Dhruin has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Dhruin)

Excellent SP, although a little more action-oriented than BG2. Best graphics and sound in the genre.

andrew has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from andrew)

the single player was fun but you got the idea that your character happened to be the best of best with even impossiable creatures falling in 30 sec with my sword. oddly this time around (unlike BG and BGII) a fighter has a more difficult time of it than a wizard... but once you realize all you need to use the cleric and STICK with her... then watch the enemy drop like flies... in fact I cleared 3 dungens without resting. MP I made a cool mod already using minial scripting... and it works not very long tho but very action orinted.

Sansong has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sansong)

Great RPG, but still prefer Morrowind

stealth has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from stealth)

I had very high expectations and the game pretty much lives up to them. I have an issue with the henchmen. They are ok but I really miss having a party of characters to play around. Another thing is that I don't feel like I'm playing in the Forgotten Realms (BG was better for me), which is a real disappointment. I haven’t played the game long enough though, so things can still change.

CommOri has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from CommOri)

The reviewer is on crack... Graphics 5 (on a GeForce 4, maybe they're better in Germany?) SP Gameplay 1 (BOOOOOORING) MP Gameplay 1 (w/o friends) MP Gameplay ? (with friends, dunno, no one will buy it after seeing it) Conrols 5 Story 0 (we've heard it a billion times before...hire a friggin' writer) ------------------------- Overall 3 Don't bother unless you're a TRUE, DIE-HARD D&D geek...like the reviewer.

Owen has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Owen)

Pros: Good character creation options. Nice graphics. Good sound. Ran nice and smooth on my 1800+ AMD, 512MB Ram, GF2 MX400 Cons: Just doesn't grab me... Find it hard to get addicted. Really slow start to the single player campaign. I'm not interested in multi-player so I guess i miss out on that side of it.

DamnLag has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from DamnLag)
sergiuvalentin: It is just not so good as DIABLO 2!!!
Simply put, YOU ARE A DIMWIT! Why do morons like you compare *every* RPG to D2? It's not (D2), so don't compare it to one. Period. Judging by your grammar I can see why you would hold D2 in such high esteem. You are also double damned as stupid if you purchased the game for even thinking it would be *anything* like D2. In short sergiuvalentin... STFU. Flames? Bring it on. =)

Maxim has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Maxim)

I give it 9 out of 10. Nuff-nuff said so. Nuff-nuff P.S. Oh please, can somebody undress Lady Aribeth so that we could enjoy her in her true beauty?

wengming has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from wengming)

This rating is restricted to the single player campaign which i have just completed. I really wanted to give this game a 9 or 10 but I honestly cannot. Perhaps indicative of my expectations of this game, I timed the purchased of a new PC just so I can play this game! My biggest disappointment is that I was at times quite bored playing the game. There is just no immersion of the kind that I experienced with baldurs gate and planescape torment. You know, the "before you know it dawn is here kinda of feeling". The main story is slow to unfold and too commmonplace to garner more than a cursory interest. In fact, I was more interested in the stories of the NPCs. The camera is annoying. Pathfinding is a drag. And in lots of places the NPC get stuck causing endless reloads. The battles are incredibly easy - i was a wizard and on normal setting. The quests are generally not memorable. In short, the single player campaign offers only an average rpg experience. I have no desire to replay with a different character. I will in fact sell the game at ebay.

zirakzigil has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from zirakzigil)

I have played through half the single player only , so my review here is for that part only. I sure hope it's not a general direction that RPG's are taking ( with dungeon siege coming also to mind ) - i mean the DIABLO-sation of the genre. gameplay is an upgrade to diablo - you have a meaningful storyline , you have better conversations, you have a companion... BUT the quests so far revolve around the same old idea of "get me the 2/3/5/7 items of X and i'll reward you / allow you to proceed with the plot" , during the quests you do a lot of fighting and can interact with few objects. nothing like a real huge world where you can manipulate evrything. so why 8? because it's fun , highly adictive , polished product that has many hours of gameplay - thing that is all too uncommon today with 10 hour shooters.

Very enjoyable - plenty of room for improvement, but that's not to say it's not worth it right now. As I've heard so many times, "The possibilities are endless. For me that might be the most frustrating thing. Not that what they gave wasn't "enough", but that they opened the door to so much more.

The game itself probably deserves a higher score than a seven but performance issues have finally gotten to the point that I can no longer play NWN. It's an amazingly beautiful game with terrific potential, but until the performance issues are fixed I can't justify a higher score.

Solamon77 has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Solamon77)

Weak. The engine is very nice and the implimentation of AD&D Core rules was done very well, but what about story and memorable NPC's? Totally missing here. Furthermore, the Aurora toolset is nice, but I have yet to see someone fully take use of it.

Trelldem has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Trelldem)

This is one of the few games that truly offers multiple playing modes. It came with an excellent single player module and you can create your own or download others. There are currently over 1000 modules for download throu NWVault. With the lates game patch, Bioware has solved the most annoying bug that deals with server vault characters and their Aurora toolset only improves with each patch. 10 out of 10 without any doubts, the best RPG ever made.

evanchan has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from evanchan)

Fun game, but overall limited interactivity, limited mechanics made for redundant and uninspired gameplay. 3D graphics did not help here.

Gollum has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Gollum)

I have mixed feelings about the game. I've been waiting for years and the whole online and construction-set features are cool, but somehow NWN still can't seem to really convince me. I am no AD&D player, so I hav no nit-picking about the 3rd Edition rules implementation - the skill system seems fine to me as a computer RPG player. The graphics are quite good while nothing groundbraking. Sound and Mucis are more average, voiceacting is actually pretty bad most of the time IMHO. Most of all the single player campaign seems very average to me and I am not sure if I will even continue playing it beyond the first ~5hours into the game I spent so far. Some people will love this game and its decent enough, but ignoring the hype of the last years I feel the actual game itself is not all its made up to be...

Ajit has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ajit)

What a flaming piece of &*%$! This game was hyped as some great RPG, some new and innovative piece in the gaming world. Instead, it is dull, uninspired and downright boring. Its graphics, while 3D, are ugly while the music is nothing special. The storyline is awful. God, what a rip-off!

Volourn has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Volourn)

First off, my rating is best on your best/worst system. No game is worthy of a 9; but compared to most games NWN is damn good. Other than certain problems, the game's story and main npc are very entertaining. The theme of justice vs. revenge is also very good as well. The challenge is there as well - at least for, anyways. Definite thumbs up.

Over-Hyped, Over-advertised. If they'd spent more type developing the SP game instead of patting themselves on the back, then this game might have been worth $19.95. It's not worth $60.

Karzak has rated 3/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Karzak)

NWN is a horrible single player game, the worst game I have ever bought. If you are interested in DM lead on-line play,m the game might be OK, but don't expect to enjoy it out of the box.

Sammael has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sammael)

A horrible single player campaign and a (possibly) good multiplayer experience. Don't buy it and expect to use the toolset to quickly build your own adventures - it won't work.

OrionPrime has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from OrionPrime)

Poor Design. NWN's goal during production was just too big. They wanted to make a game that could be a single player game, a multi-player game, an easy to use campaign toolkit and a dungeon master program. The end result looks like they bit off more then they could chew. NWN excels in one area and that is multi-player, and for that matter is the first truly multiplayer RPG. However, the caveat is that a good DM is required for multi-player since the campaign does not offer a very good DnD experience. As for the single player game, it is very mediocre. Combine this with an engine designed to make everyone a game developer and you end up with a game that offers none of the atmosphere of Bioware's previous games and a campaign that seemed to be tacked on in the end. If this were not enough, NWN has taken what I think is the wrong approach to CRPG's. This is an almost console/action game approach. Essentially the gameplay is a single player character that fights through hordes of weak monsters, through ludicrously long combat animations, to fight one big monster at the end of an incredibly mundane dungeon. Forgive me for the run-on sentence, but that is the best type of grammar to use to describe NWN's mechanics. NWN successfully takes the 3E DnD rules and forces a type of gameplay onto it that DnD rules were never meant to handle. Such as a single character with one henchmen, that is little to no help at all due to poor AI, in real time combat. This makes combat in NWN very mundane and completely void of tactics, which is especially dissapointing since the majority of the game is spent in combat. Suffice it to say I was dissapointed.

Didn't care for it. As MP its average. Blizzard does it much better. Toolset is limited in ways it shouldn't be. The SP story really sucked in my opinion. Way below par for the people at Bioware. Maybe if they stayed withh the BlackIsle the story and other parts of this game would have been much better.

Sony666 has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sony666)

Very nice, but has some major flaws. The single player campaign is way too short and too easy, and the 1000+ home-made modules availible now can't make up for that, beacause they lack profesialism. The online value via GameSpy is also not compareable to Diablo 2/Battle.net. I waded through the campaign with my Monk pretty easy, and now I'm waiting for the promised free second official campaign and hoping it will be better.

Xanas has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Xanas)

Ok.. I'm voting a 10.. do I believe it's a 10.. no but I would honestly say a 9.. and there are people throwing this game 1's.. that's total crap and it doesn't deserve that.. Why do people not like this game? Initially buggy Not perfect Doesn't have everything that pen and paper does Now look at those 3.. does any game you have ever played .. even the good ones not have those problems? Of course they all have them.. The problem is these people thought that the hype meant they would get everything they ever wanted and that didn't happen. Bioware never even claimed that would happen and many times told people what was going to come out, but people never listened and so were pissed when the game came out. Ok.. so what is good about the game that would make me give it a 9 or a 10 Good graphics - better than DS and many other recent CRPGs - the multisource lighting is simply awesome, and with full AA, and high res this game looks sweet.. The animations are simply amazing compared to anything similar (DS).. that game sucked in animation, in this you will see parry's, ducks, dodges.. etc. It really looks nice...nuff said Good gameplay - it's fun, is it as good as BG II? Not quite but it's not far off, it's single player so if you like the strats available with the group of course you are going to think a little less.. but that's part of the genre.. if you like clicking of course you are going to like diablo. Simply awesome toolset - is it buggy and is it hard to add some things? Of course.. but what isn't? It's definetly easier than making HL into counterstrike but yes it takes work. Is it hard to learn what to do? No.. it's pretty easy, I say if you can learn HTML you can learn to script in this game. If you can't.. well then nothing is going to help you. The tools could be better but considering what they were trying to do I think they accomplshed more than what any other company would have. Fun multiplayer - don't like the Singleplayers ruleset.. use the HCR modules online. They are very nice for those who would rather stick to true D&D 3rd ed. There are some pretty original modules coming out and the community is doing a better job than I have seen with anything else considering the time.

Nice graphics and beautifully rendered shadows for sure. But graphics do not make an RPG! I for one do not care for MP (I would just play MMORPGs if I did), neither do I care for modules. So I found the single player campain too boring and... expensive in terms of $/hour gameplay!

Were the five years worth the wait? I defenately don't think so. I was so exited too, but unfortunatelythe game is shallow. The 3rd edition rules are implement decently well, but so what. The main game is what im rating, its useless to rate in online too many possibilities, but the main story is horrid. The voice acting is rediculous compared to BG and Icewind Dale. The "henchmen" idea is retarded what happened to good NPCs? The radial system was attrocious and the camera handled like shit. The game was linear and felt more like Diablo then an RPG. Either way the biggest dissapointment, since the OJ case.

Neverwinter Nights = Biggest let down of 2002 Divine Divinity = Wow didn't expect that to be a great game... Full version rules ... its what NWN should have been...

Ok, I wanted to like this game, I really did. I mainly got the game for it's single player game (I hadn't played a good cRPG in years), but I just quit playing somewhere in chapter 2. I was really expecting it to be more fun. The graphics were ok, but the tilesets got repetitive. And I HATE load times between zones. RPG's nowadays simply should NOT have load times between zones. Grrrrr, it pisses me off.

This was only the second PC game I'd ever played and I loved it. The story, as it unfolded, was engrosing, easy to follow and logical and as a result my character developed as well. Combat was challenging, NPCs were rounded and the settings were excellent. This was my first AD&D game and the rules were easy to understand along with character creation and development. However, I found the use of magic difficult and confusing. NWN kept me playing until the early hours and I'm keenly anticipating the expansion(s).

This game had a lot of potential. The graphics are wonderful as is the scripting engine and ability to add your own modules. Before i begin let me express my bias against the overhead camera angle of baldur gate/icewindale/nwn series. The supplied single player version has the flaws of being rather short, lacking in depth and just plain boring. The multiplayer version suffer from numerous client/server bugs. The communication protocol often gets confused during modest packet lost (an easy thing to fix if these guys would get their act together) the async behavior between server/client update (the client will move you independent of the server and then correct when it receives a server response) is nerve wrecking at best and frequently leads to unwanted deaths. The code is horribly unoptimized and leaks memory like a pig (500mb to 1gig memory leak in 3 days is a bit painful) yada yada yada... Most of the above complaints are technical in nature but they make a potentially very good game engine (ignoring my bias on overhead view) rather frustrating at best. Worse, many of these problems are trivial to solve (esp the server/client interaction) and memory leaks. Having said all this - the graphics are very nice :)

How can anyone rate this game a 1? I enjoyed Diablo/II, as far as it went, but this is a RPG game. A different genre to Diablo. I agree the official campaign was pretty crap, but it taught you how to play the game. When online, you find the beauty of the RPG game, you don't need henchmen but you do need people to play with you. The Gamespy Network is full of people playing different player made modules. YOU choose what you want to play, H&S, fine; roleplay, fine; Hardcore ruleset, fine; party, fine. You find and join a likeminded server or two and await any updates to the toolset while you play away your days and nights.

Kranky has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Kranky)

Here's an idea -- take out everything that made Baldur's Gate 2 great! Include a subpar story, no henchmen, terrible camera angling, less inventory control, and anything else you can think of that makes a game less fun, and you have what the designers at Bioware were thinking. I give credit for their toolset because it was fun to mess around with but I usually don't mess with toolsets and had no idea how to script so the easy cookie-cutter mechanics of the toolset were lost on me as sadly I could only place houses and monsters. In NWN's defense, it can be a fun game if you find a good online community and almost treat it like a miniature version of Everquest or another MMORPG. It was a great idea in theory but has to be one of the most overrated games of all time. It's just not that much fun - plain and simple. That's the first thing I want in an RPG, fun! Has a great online community though if you want to try out mods and other custom content.

This is one of the most intricate rules/stats detailed roleplaying games i have ever played. What really is amazing is all this detail and yet it does not slow down the pace of the game or make it boring.Very fluid with the Computer taking care of keeping things balanced just like a great Dungeon Master is supposed to while the players enjoy adventuring in their fantasy world. The character generation and leveling are excellent! The graphics are stunning and bring back that old feeling i used to have playing the TSR Gold Box edition computer rpg games by SSI in the 1990s.The Manual is a notepad size book which is very descriptive and easy to read.It is one of the best informative and fantasy stimulating manuals i have read since the old days of every game coming with a thick manual with tons of information you did not have to pay extra for to get a "hint" book.I felt may character taking shape with no effort in my mind as i read what was available to me and what kind of world NEVERWINTER NIGHTS is.This is an all out winner i will be playing for many years to come. For those who have not yet played get the NEVERWINTER NIGHTS GOLD version that comes with extra mods by BIOWARE aswell as the first expansion pack THE SHADOWS OF UNDRENTIDE.Wow its great to know games of this high quality are still being created.Thank you BIOWARE!Thank you ATARI!

I can't believe this game has scored so low on this web sight. This is hands down the best RPG ever made. I have been playing this game ever since it came out and I find that I like it more now than when I first bought it. Bioware is constantly updating it, adding new functions and content. There is no other game out there that allows you to Play, build and DM. Fantasy worlds that I have only dreamed of have been made a reality because of this game. There are alot of games on this list that are darn right crappy with a higher score than NWN. What are you people thinking? The level of roleplaying you can achive with this game is like none I have ever seen before. You get together with a good group of players and a good DM and you will have some true gaming magic on your hands.

This game was a major disapointment to me. There are far too many bugs, the single player campaign is a dreary affair. You can't even get killed in the first battle. Where you can hack at barrels and get wands in a city street while the city guard don't interact. This game is a Diablo clone and a parody of D&D. However at least the monsters in Diablo were varied. I got bored hacking at endless hordes of zombies why my halfing thief charged into the fray on a suicide mission. If you die due to this you are magically teleported and resurrected so can do this again. It reminded me when D&D rulebooks warned of monty haul campaigns.

Well, technically it's quite brilliant. But that's it. It's technical. No atmosphere for me, I never really got the feeling beeing sucked in that world, which is what I want from a good rpg. It all feels clean, perfect, but with no feeling or atmosphere whatsoever. The story wasn't the most original either. I couldn't really identify myself with my main char, I couldn't develop anything towards the NPC. And hey, I even couldnt really interact with them, the Henchmen concept sucks! And yes i still spent the money for both addons. HOTU is the best imho, but still... Magic effects look nice, tho. Cool you're able to "open" containers with fireballs etc. Still: Nice technical demo, just fill it with atmosphere. And that 3D stuff doesn't as nice as the drawn backgrounds on other games. And no it's not only the 3D, i really apreciated Morrowind :)

This is absolutely the brilliance I have expected from the year 2000 on. Graphical detailed, interesting, colorful, immense and brilliant. Even the option to pause gameplay at every moment with space, is absolutly remarkable. Only things somehow the linear gameplay, i mean it is still somehow linear, not very, but noticeable. All together, this is another step forward in real RPG game playing. Go and play it, strongly recommended for all Ultima Top-Down-View Ultima experienced players!! for NW2 i wish to see more interaction with the nature, like fog, swimming, jumping, climbing and so on. And on the harder level the possibility for a more detailed combat, eg. to make a monster loose his weapon with a direct hit on his hand.

The greatest RPG disappointment of all-time. The promise of bringing rich, layered worlds of the D&D world to life, the promise of bringing the pen and paper experience of D&D remains unfulfilled. A kiddy-version of the game, that was...simply, not fun. The original game itself gets a low score, the expansive nature of the game raises it to a 4. Perhaps Obsidian can save Bioware's mess.

Nik has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Nik)

Quite simply the greatest RPG of all time, totally immersive, character classes that actually are different rather than just minor changes. Hours of puzzles and quests, combat that's realistic enough but doesn't kill you so often that it ruins the atmosphere - I don't want to keep re-loading in a game it spoils the effect. Great subquests (including class specific for replayability), awesome spells, level ups that bring obvious and real advantages to your character (unlike Morrowind for example). I could go on and on about this one.. and sadly that's my only criticism of NWN it just wasn't long enough - the first expansion pack didn't help much either (you don't use your original character... aarghh!) and in the second expansion you can use your original character but everybody acts like your performance in the first game was done by somebody else (double arrgghh!) Still, minor grumbles if you don't have this game - get it. And why on earth is this game at like 50th place on this board? Considering some of the rubbish above it?

deadraque has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from deadraque)

This game is fantastic. I would rate it a 8-9 but thanks to modabilty Bioware offers us the game becomes a kind of dream, giving the ability to play those famous chapters you did in AD&D with pen and paper. Only thing i would like to dream of is a kind of random quest maker and map maker, so the things change every time you start a game, a bit like Diablo. For the rest AD&D rules are very nicely respected. Take the monstrous database books from AD&D and the discription in the books corespond pretty well the game. if it has this or that power, most of the time it will be used against you at some point.

I was so dissapointed after long waiting for this one that I took my Baldur Gate and Icewind Dale games and played instead of this one. Don't get me wrong - Editor was revoltion in rpg gaming, Concept was revolution too, it was fun to play online, spikey 3d graphics, unrecognisable monsters, strange hunchman system, and too big learning curve for making adventures (c script lingo with tons of functions without proper documentation from Bioware) just spoiled fun. AND - Morrowind come the very same year :-)

The most detailed indepth rpg i have played next to the Realms Of Arkania/Dark Sun series.Never played D+D boardgame so i cant say if it was true to the core rules others mention. All i do know as a Pc rpg am still playing it and the support the company shows for its fan base is classy and very admirable.

Offical story line (without expansions) is a joke, waited years for this and it was rubbish. Has nothing on BG or IWD.
