A new Black Moon Chronicles Developer Diary has been published at Gamespy today. The team is looking back on the last year, and we bring you an excerpt from that article:
As the months passed and our hair colors changed, the game rapidly took shape and we were able to perform the first tests on our newly adapted engine -- an improved version of the one we had in T4C. These tests lead to major design decisions, such as removing two character classes and rebalancing the characters' distribution in the factions. Nothing was spared: chat, backpack, spells, etc. We wanted to make sure this game would be easy for MMORPG gamer's to familiarize with, but we did not want to make sacrifices in the cool factor just for the sake of simplicity.

Passing by church. By the end of the summer we had another reality check: the first comments from external sources. The game was presented to the media and we obtained a lot of feedback from them. Among other comments, we were pleased to see that most of the media liked the idea of using an isometric view to offer the highest imaginable quality for the hand drawn graphics. Everybody was saying, "Cool! It's like playing in a comic book!"
