Action4Life is an all new gaming site that just launched today. It's partially made up of former "House'O'Spank" members.
One of their first RPG related features (with hopefully many more to come) is an interview with Jim Purbrick, a game designer of Codemasters' fantasy MMORPG 'Dragon Empires'.

Here's a bit:

Shishko: Could you give us a rough idea of how many weapons and equipment types there will be? And will players be able to create their own things?

JP: There will be a large range of weapons including the standard swords and axes and some more exotic weapons like tiger claws. There are also lots of other items such as armour, magical staffs, books and orbs, spell components and all of the items that go into making finished products. Players create everything in the world by collecting resources and processing them. In some games player creation of items can lead to a lot of drudgery and potentially abuse via macroing. We've addressed these problems by only requiring players to make choices about what they want to produce, how much they buy resources for and how much to sell finished goods for. The actual buying, selling and creation of items is handled automatically.
