It wasn’t so long ago that we brought you news of Ubisoft picking up the now defunct 3DO’s Might and Magic franchise and subsequently resurrecting the long running Heroes series in full 3D under the control of developer Nival Interactive.

Well now it seems that Ubisoft has further designs on the franchise, with the unveiling of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic – what Ubi describes as being very much an action game, but with RPG-lite elements. In fact, from the sound of it, Dark Messiah could not be further from the turn-based strategy RPGs that forms the backbone of the Might and Magic brand.
