Freedom Force Center has conducted an interview with Eric Brosius, audio director at Irrational Games. The talk is about music, of course, and about himself. Here's a bit:

Mike: Where do you find inspiration when composing?

Eric: Inspiration can come from anywhere. Usually by immersing myself in a project (and by that I mean simply thinking about it for a while) random musical ideas pop into my head. I’ll try to get those down in some way, then they can spark other ideas. And pretty soon, I’ll have a core set of scraps that feels “right”. Once I get to this point, composing can come pretty quickly for me. Of course, there are often a bunch of misses and dead-ends before I hit the ones that work.

For FF, I’ve been paying attention to old WarnerBros cartoons, old movies (they have such great -slightly cheezy- soundtracks) and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll. Also some of my more nerdy friends have lent me some old records of Justice League of America and Batman episodes, etc... with some fiendishly corny, yet somehow endearing soundtracks. Great fun.
