Ultima 0 - Akalabeth: 6/10 points |
Okay.. the 3d dungeons are alot like Ultima I, and the graphics are primitive, but it's still fun, yet very short. The fact that the game as almost entirely randomly genreated was cool, though.. |
Ultima 2 - Revenge of the Enchantress: 10/10 points |
The first Ultima I ever played, so I'm biased.. A lot, but I had a lot of fun in my early years with this game.. If it wasnt for that, this game would have gotten a lower rating from me... |
Ultima 5 - Warriors of Destiny: 10/10 points |
Just.. wow. The graphics were good for it's time, the music was nice, towns were much better designed than in Ultima IV, it was fun, and the plot was the best in the entire series, with only the possible excpetion of the combined Ultima VII... |
Ultima 6 - The False Prophet: 8/10 points |
An unfortuante step down from Ultima V. The graphics arent as good, though more colorful, and the Gargoyle Underworld seemed rushed. However, though it wasnt as good as Ultima V, it is still an awesome game by almost any other standard. |
Ultima 7 - Serpent Isle (Sequel): 9/10 points |
Though the world seemed smaller than BG, everything felt larger. Monitor, Fawn, and Moonshade are all around the size of Britain in BG, and you can see character relations and such. More linear? I barely noticed.. |
Ultima 7 Project - Exult: 10/10 points |
Thank you, Exult team! This let me view the glory of the Ultima 7s.. :D |
Ultima 8 - Pagan: 8/10 points |
Could anything really stand up to the Ultima 7 games? The engine is awesome in this game, but the small linear game world really hurts this title. Personally, I liked jumping though, and the plot was awesome. Pagan was a dark world, where you couldnt find any allies, and were forced to give up virtue to escape... And Ultima VIII portrayed that very well.. Except that I couldnt become a Tempest... |
