The Neverwinter Vault has reviewed 'Padakyot', a fan-made module for BioWare's AD&D-based 'Neverwinter Nights'. Rating: 6/10.
Summary (Very minor Spoilers)
How do you carry one ton of loot, including 143 platemails? Do you make multiple trips back and forth or do you use your henchmen as pack animals? Questions like this are likely to arise when you play Padakyot. Anyone who ranks modules by the amount of loot available is probably going to love this one, but there is a chance that others might find it a bit excessive in places.
The author's introduction is very brief, just "This is a series of quests available in the City of Padakyot. In Korean this means something like 'City by the Sea'. Be sure and speak to the little girl at the gate.". Nevertheless, this was sufficient to get me started. I played the module with Nikita, starting as a level 1 monk. When she finished the last quest, after almost 20 hours of playing she was a level 12 monk, level 3 rogue, having gained 105.020 XP. She also had nearly two million gold coins in her pockets and was carrying five Bags of Holding filled with useful magical items. The XP ratio is set to 15%, instead of the more typical 10%, but most of the XP is awarded for completing the quests. |
