RPG Vault has a interview with Hayashi Shogo and Yutaka Emura up here. They answer a lot of questions, including 'What's the Point?'

Jonric: Let's begin with an overview of ShadowFlare and its main features and points of interest. What kind of game is it, what are its key design elements, and what type of gameplay does it offer?

Hayashi Shogo: ShadowFlare is a network compatible, action and role-playing PC game designed with an isometric game viewpoint. The game is also mission-based, which is similar in style to many other titles on the market; however, ShadowFlare includes lots of pure fighting and action aspects that are not so common in many other PC games. One of our goals was to provide a brisk game playing experience - an experience that is seldom slow or dawdling like most RPGs. ShadowFlare also has many unique features, like an animal companion system, a mine system and a choice of careers.
Head on over for a read.
