7.6/10 is the score for Ankh at Amped IGO:
Ankh is another of those unassuming creations emanating from the murky depths of a small developer whose inexperience in the industry (in terms of commercial titles, at least) provokes ominous reactions. This is a point-and-clicker in an Egyptian world with distinct historical liberties taken. If anything, Ankh is fuelled by the quirky nature of masseur Threepwood’s gallivants through the world of Monkey Island. There are many parallels drawn and the main character himself, a frolicking teenager by the name of Assil, helps to stamp home the image of Monkeys, Threepwood and LucasArts. If anything, the Egyptian setting, the attempted-gags and the light-hearted nature of proceedings elevates Ankh above the recent influx of serious adventures.
