Referred to as a weird fishy pirate guy, he is definitely not someone to mess with: As gruff to his team members as he is to a criminal, Man O' War is quite often a public relations nightmare for Freedom Force. In a world that's already so full of fear and distrust of all things superhuman his already surly demeanor is exacerbated by his inhuman appearance. As he said during a recent (and very terse) interview, "Let's see you be constant smiles an' sunshine when y'look like a salmon who's spent too much time swimmin' near a nuclear waste dump!" Although he's loathe to admit it, Man O' War's temper is often offset by his concern and care for Sea Urchin, who he feels particularly responsible towards, blaming himself for her current state. "Poor kid's only 12, an' she's too afraid t'go home an' see her folks, lookin' like she does. I'm the closest thing t'family she's got fer now, an' I ain't gonna disappoint her if I can help it."
