Famous fantasy author Piers Anthony has been interviewed at Stratics about his involvement in Dragon Empires:
Robc: Piers, you are such a well know fantasy writer, what inspired you to do the background story for an online fantasy game like Dragon Empires?

Piers Anthony: They asked me, and I thought it would be good experience. I'm generally ready to try new things, within limits.
