Champions of Norrath set a benchmark for console action/role-playing games. It was a brilliant and entertaining romp through the world of Norrath that let you fully explore five different styles of play. It was filled with loads of content that made playing through the game a single time with a single character engrossing. Of course, each character gained new skills at higher levels that were only accessible by replaying the game to gain even more experience. Those skills transformed play, and if that weren’t enough, you could always start over with another of the five classes for an entirely new style of play. Beyond the single player experience, you could even play online with a total of four players, for a cooperative experience. Most of us won’t have come close to exhausting the first game when Champions: Return to Arms hits stores.
