RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Zhen Dil Oloth has rated the following games:

Arcanum - Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura: 4/10 points

Although it had a lot of potential, this game ended up being very dissapointing. The freedom of this game was as great as Fallout, but there are so many annoying bugs and design flaws that it is very difficult to enjoy the game when you keep on fighting the zillion bugs in it. Also the characters are poorly balanced. Magic is very powerfull as opposed to technologie being very weak. This could have been a great game, but it endde up being a great dissapointment.

Baldur's Gate: 8/10 points

The first chapter of the BG saga is very good. Althought there are a few game stopping bugs (ex; the boots of speed that don't activate certains essential triggers). Good story. Good intrigue. A great introduction to the BG world and thye IE games.

Baldur's Gate - Tales of the Sword Coast: 9/10 points

A very good add-on to BG. One of the best expansion I have played. Durlag's Tower is a great dungeon, with some great puzzles and traps. A must for any fan of BG.

Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn: 8/10 points

The CRPG that I have played the most. The game with the mopst replayability ever. I have tried many different classes and many different party combination, and I'm still discovering some new things after almost 2 years of playing the game. Love the story (espescialy the part in the Drow city). Love the NPCs (espescialy Viconia). Love the idea of the Strongholds. The music is not bad, but it's not great either. Although not perfect, it is a very good game.

Baldur's Gate 2 - Throne of Bhaal: 6/10 points

A very dissapointing ending to what is a great saga. Very predictable story. Very combat heavy. After playing PS;T, I could not help it but to expect as deep a story for the conclusion of the Bhaalspawn saga. So it part it is my high expectation that ruined the game for me.

Diablo 2: 9/10 points

This was my introduction to the world of CRPGs. Very addictive. I spent the first 2 weeks I had the game playing non-stop. Barely remembering to eat and sleep. The cinematics are great. Loved this game.

Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 10/10 points

The best CRPG in my book right after PS;T. Lots of freedom to customise your character. To explore the Fallout world. To decide on your actions. The story is very good. The only bad thing is the poor AI of your NPCs sometimes. But after trying more recent games like NWN, the Fallout AI is actually pretty good by comparison. Love this game.

Fallout 2: 10/10 points

See Fallout.

Icewind Dale: 8/10 points

Very good dungeon crawl. The music is great. I found the story intriguing although the focus of the game is mostly oriented towards combat.

Icewind Dale - Heart of Winter: Trials of the Luremaster: 7/10 points

It adds some good puzzles to IWD;HoW. For a free add on, it was really good.

Icewind Dale 2: 8/10 points

Love the music. Love the subclasses and subraces (at last I AM DROW). Love the humour. The story starts out great but you kind of forget that there is one after a while because of the very heavy battles that awaits you. Hate the challenge rating crap. I hate 3rd edition.

Magic The Gathering Online: 4/10 points

Although the game is easy to get into and you can play a game very quickly, too often you end up waiting for ages for other players to click "ok". You spend more time waiting after other players then playing the actual game. Also, very annoying to haved the system shut down in the middleof a 3 hours "Empire" game. Play the card game instead.

Neverwinter Nights: 3/10 points

Bad SPC. And the promise of unlimited Modules is not good when they are as boring as the SPC.

Planescape: Torment: 10/10 points

This is my favorite CRPG. I love the story, very intriguing. I love the music. I love the spells effects, strange that later games could not match PS;T in that area. I love the NPCs. The best NPCs in any game. I love this game.

Pool of Radiance - Ruins of Myth Drannor: 2/10 points

It could have been a good dungeon crawl with a poor story, but too many bugs/design flaws made a bad game even worse. Avoid this game at all cost.
