Graphically, the PC version of Final Fantasy XI already ranks as one of the best looking MMORPGs on the market with some excellent looking character models, some nice lighting effects and well designed outdoor levels. The only visual drawback is the water textures, which appear to look flat with no animations. One of the biggest innovations is that both PC and PS2 players in both the US and Japan will be able to play together.
