PC Gameworld sat down with Chris Miller, lead programmer at Sojourn Development, for a rather short interview about his first-person mmorpg Glympse. They talk about some of the more special features of the game, such as the self-evolving aspects of the world and the ability to have a lot more players on one server than we're used to:
Our primary goal with our Networking solution was not to have “Shards” or multiple copies of the same game world. I can’t go into details at this point, but our networking partners have deployed a solution that will allow for hundreds of thousands of players to come together under one roof. |
