Scandinavia has much history and legends tied to the Norse of the Dark Ages. Fearsome Vikings fared widely conquering and exploring, even making it as far as North America. Norwegian developer Funcom plans to bring this era to life in a new massively multiplayer, online game called Midgard. However, instead of being rooted in the adventuring model of today’s large MMORPGs, trade professions, empire building and more strategic elements will serve as the foundation.
