The good BioWare doctors Zeschuk and Muzyka have been interviewed at Globe Technology about things BioWare, such as their games and the possibility of opening a Montreal office. Here's a snippet:@Play: Your last console project was Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. It was a big success, but you handed off the reigns to another developer for the sequel. Why?
RM: We had the choice to work on the sequel to Knights of the Old Republic, but we chose to focus instead on our internally developed intellectual properties. We are still involved in the development of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II — we introduced the developer of that project, Obsidian, to our publisher LucasArts. We supplied the technology and production assistance to Obsidian as they developed the sequel, so we will still see royalties from sales of that product.
Both [PC and Xbox] versions look like they will do well both critically and commercially, which is great for the fans of the series. | Source: NW Vault |
