FileFront's Alex Muniz has the latest word re the Entertainment Software Association's prediction that this year's E3 Show will be the largest ever since the E3 exhibition of year 2000...
The ESA, which runs E3, has declared the entirety of the Los Angeles Convention Center’s exhibit space – five, full convention pavilions – to be sold out.
Over the course of 11 years, E3 has grown from an average of 300,000 square feet and 30,000 visitors, to 540,000 square feet and nearly 70,000 visitors.
E3 2000 was the previous square footage record holder, as it saw the launch of PS2, second-generation Sega Dreamcast games, and Microsoft and Nintendo announce their plans for Xbox and GameCube, respectively.
But this year’s Expo represents an even rarer alignment of the gaming firmament. Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony are all expected to reveal exclusive details on their next-generation consoles.
