An interview with 'City of Heroes' Associate Community Coordinator 'CuppaJo' can be found at Coldfront:
Do you have any MMO background before City of Heroes? If so what games have you played and what was your basic impression of the worlds you were involved in?

Some friends of mine got me started in MMOs with UO, EQ, and DAOC. UO was my first, just an introduction more than anything. I was amazed at the size of the world and the community. By the time I saw UO it was in its fourth year and of course there were players who had been there the whole time, as had the friend who introduced me. That impressed me.

EQ and DAOC I spent some time with, but I was very much a "casual gamer." My main impressions were that grouping was like herding cats and since I am directionally challenged, that getting around was hard for me. Between travel times and getting lost I spent a great deal of time wandering aimlessly. CoH had me from the start because it was easy to get around, easy to group (even with people who were higher level), and just so much fun right out of the box.
