"Legends of Aranna takes place after the original Dungeon Siege with an entirely new hero. The player character discovers journals relating to his or her deceased parents, and sets out to find what happened to them. This quest will take you to the Island of Utrae, a dangerous and exciting new land with plenty of problems of its own. The first area of Utrae the Mad Doc team designed was Mhakesha, whose dense jungles inspired the design of the entire island. Matthew Nordhaus, lead designer at Mad Doc Software, says, “...the rainforest aesthetic cascaded out to touch many other aspects, such as the appearance of the armor, the types of weapons, and the design for Wizard City and other terrain sets.”
