There's a review of Star Wars Galaxies over at OnlineGameFreaks. The tone of the article is reflected in the average score of 7.22 and here's a snip:
Fun Factor - Your first month or two of the game will be something new every time you play. But the glitter begins to dull. The game has a flatness that can't be explained. How could a game of such magnitude, based on an epic mythology, created by the most successful MMORPG producer to date, make you yawn? They didn't finish the game. Some of the best parts of the Star Wars mythos are missing. Not space ships (coming sometime in the undisclosed future), no vehicles (coming sometime in the undisclosed future), and no challenge. Even with inexperienced MMORPG players you can obtain mastery of professions quickly. Once you become a Master Bounty Hunter what's next? To be fair they have probably the best foundation for an immersive virtual world. The crafting system is incredibly detailed and the amount of Galaxy to explore is amazing. You just don't feel the need to explore it.
You'll find it here.
