GameSpy has posted up a preview of 'Final Fantasy X-2' for Playstation 2.

Here's the opening paragraph:
As details of Final Fantasy X-2 trickled out to the public, many longtime fans of the series and big-time fans of the original winced at the game's eccentric contrast from the original. Instead of an epic story of a group of heroes trying to save the world, you have a gun-toting chick in hot pants on a campy quest to find her man. Instead of the innovative Sphere Grid system (used to customize character abilities), you get to play dress up with Yuna and her two gal pals Rikku and Paine. After playing a fairly solid build of the localized game, I have two words for all the doubters out there -- don't worry. Even though X-2 has more of a lighthearted tone, has dropped the Sphere Grid, and implements the traditional active-time-battle system, it's not such an outlandish departure from X as originally feared. Beneath the kitsch is a touching love story and an entertaining game. Think of it as a Charlie's Angels movie with stirring emotion and profound depth.
