Divine Divinity, the first major release from Larian Studios, is likely the best RPG you’ve never played. Dismissed as a Diablo clone, mainly due to the release of a terrible demo, many people never bothered to play Divine Divinity. Those of us who did, however, witnessed the birth of the second coming of Ultima. It was that good. Following up on their critical success with that game, Larian now offers up Beyond Divinity, which is not the sequel that many were expecting, but more of a side-story.
