4/10 - this fits perfectly in most other reviews we have seen of this game so far. The review of Dragonriders - Chronicles of Pern at Gamers Press states that the game is uninspired, boring and ill designed:

I can't take this anymore. The problem with this game is that it's obviously that nobody really tried. Some folks sat around in a committee, were told by their boss they had to make a game about Pern, then set out with half a heart to come up with this crap. The plot kernel isn't a bad one. But then everything else around it is set up to keep you from getting to the fun in any way possible. It's like they set out to irritate you from the beginning, then make you plod your way through the rest of the game.
