For the past few years something has been amiss in the world of fantasy online gaming. Like Galadriel of the Lord of the Rings, we can sense the world has changed and a golden age of greatness has passed. Some say the magic is gone. Some claim the challenge has left. Some decry the lack of community. Others blame the influence of money. Many of us feel like Diogenes, the ancient Greek of legend, who searched in vain for an honest man. Yet our search is for an honest game. We go from world to world never feeling quite satisfied, never feeling truly content, yet still we trudge on as if searching for a lost love of youth.
