A review of Ascaron's 'Sacred' is available at Review.Gamer. The score is 8.2/10 and here's a clip:
The basics of Sacred are quite simple. You begin by choosing a character, similar to past role playing games. Each character is different, boasting a different look, a new past and varied abilities. In Sacred each character is so different, that they really stand out from past RPG’s, not only because of their race, but their abilities and scope. It’s true Sacred copies much from those before it, but when you really look at Sacred as the game it is, the realization of its magnificence really hits you. The difference in playable characters is so great, that some times you feel you’re playing an entirely different game, with a different story and world. This is by far one of my favorite things about Sacred, and is no doubt going to lengthen the single player campaign far beyond ‘other’ games.
