Thanks to Raya from Warcry for dropping us a note about their 'FreeWorld' interview with Clyde Bielss, Head of Development at Mindsurge.Waiting impatiently, the many fans and testers of FreeWorld Online have been wondering when on Seregor (okay, when on earth) the game will go back to alpha testing. "Soon," Clyde Bielss, head dev at MindSurge Entertainment, said. "Possibly we will be set to go in six weeks." That would bring the game back online in time for Christmas.
One of the very few, if not the ONLY, MMOs out that has open alpha testing, with no NDA, is FreeWorld Online, The game has been closed since the end of Alpha Phase 8 in mid-September. "We had some setbacks with the magic code," Clyde explained. "We want everything to be perfect, when we open up for Phase 9, and are willing to devote the extra time and care to accomplish this."
The magic coding issues have been resolved, but the FW team is proceeding with care. " We wanted to take more time to work out some issues we had, before adding more features," Clyde said. "We want things to really amaze when we open Phase 9."
It certainly looks like a vast upgrade to the human models at the very least is in store for the testers when they come back to play the game. |
