There are two previews for a new RPG for PC and Xbox: Black 9. The first one is at IGN.PC, the other one at Gamespot. Here's an excerpt from the first one:
You know that rare moment when you finally puzzle out the meaning of a title that you've just taken for granted? Like when you suddenly realize what Sophie's choice really is? Or why Dr. T needs all of those fingers? We recently had such an epiphany when we went down to Taldren to check out their latest game, Black 9, set for release this fall on the PC, PS2 and Xbox platforms.
The Black 9 of the title are the nine secret societies conspiring with and against each other (mostly against) to take control of humanity. Set eighty years in to our future, the title places the player at the center of the action. You portray a hi-tech sort of James Bond who begins working, rather innocently, for one of the societies and soon find yourself pulled in to the war between the competing societies as a sort of mercenary-for-hire. All the action takes place in a 3rd person action format heavily seasoned with plenty of roleplaying elements. |
