It's been more than quiet around Atriarch lately, but now there is a Q&A with Lead Designer Serafina Pechan at AtriarchVault. Here's a question and Serafina's answer (out of 4):
    1. Will different damage types have different effects on different materials (e.g. blunt/bludgeoning damage is more effective against chain and solid structures than slashing and spiked weapons?

Yes, there are different damage types: blunt, piercing, slashing, ripping, and corrosive. Material doesn't affect the type of damage done, but rather how effective of a weapon it is. For example, if you have a knife made of a paper and slash with it, the "type" of damage will still be in the form of a slashing. However, as we all know a paper cut doesn't do much damage. On the other hand, if you take that same knife made of bone, then that will do a lot more slashing damage.
