GameSpy shares some first impressions of the newly released Dungeons and Dragons Online content module, Dragon's Vault.
The first content module for Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, entitled Dragon's Vault, was released earlier this week. A free update available for download to subscribers, the update not only includes new content, but also serves as a major patch update, with a number of performance tweaks, UI improvements, and changes to gameplay. Some issues have cropped up with this update, however, bringing additional problems to the table.

The Dragon's Vault chain of quests targets the higher level players in the game and begins with a series of four dungeon challenges. The first challenge takes place in the notorious Tharashk Arena, where your party must defeat the other combatants to proceed. Next up is a trip through a mind locked in torment, a surrealist dungeon theme-named The Prison of the Mind. You'll then have to enter the ruined Haywire Foundry and investigate the happenings there. Lastly, you'll delve into the subterranean depths of the Jungles of Khyber.

Once this series of quests is completed, you'll unlock entry into the Vault of Night, the granddaddy of DDO dungeons, where at the end you'll face a fire-breathing red dragon before you can collect your riches. You'll need to be level 9 or 10 to undertake these quests, however.
