I've been playing Fantasy Turn-based strategy games since Archon on the C64 and I have to say this may be the best. Nice improvements from the first and adds new concepts to the genre. Great game when playin single turned-based as well as playin multi online simultaneous turns. |

I apsolutly love this game. I dont finish many games and this is one that I played all the way through to the end. Heroes of might and magic pale in comparison to this shining example of how turn based strategy games should be. |

This game has great fundamentals, but lacks in polish. The graphics are bland, the sound is tiring, and the feel is yet-another-turn-based-strategy-game. I just could not warm myself up to it. |

I liked the first AoW better. It had descriptions for each unit (image and text), and that was cool... Yet, I feel this is a game that could be considered as a newer and better "Master of Magic" (true classic). Oh yes, HoMM SUX. |

Really is an 8. Not a rpg in the least however, its a civilization type strategy game. A good one though better than civ 3. |

Quite a few Halflings were harmed, though. I liked to use them to taste-test whether the bottles under the sink were bottled water or DrainO... I'd do that every day for months, before I realized I don't keep the bottled water under the sink. Silly me.
When the power goes out, they scream, because they know only one of them gets the honor of poking a fork into the outlets while I test circuit breakers. Actually, sometimes a few of them get that opportunity before I'm done.
Luckily they breed like bunnies, so I'm just keeping the population down.[quote]

Excellent sequel to Age Of Wonders and many times easier to learn and get involved.The combat is fantastic.Hearing the nymphs so sweet scream when getting hit by my skeletal minions is sweet indeed! And oh those female Vampires can they climb walls and be oh so seductive leading the enemy troops astray HAR! HAR! HAR!The ranged combat is well done with terrain being tooken into account and melee combat is bone crushing orgasmic to the core!When creating a new game i love the fact you can custom create your own ruler or pick a pre built one.The artwork is excellent but only for certain taste.Its like looking at a buetiful oil painting with a brilliant shine.The portraits for the rulers are mixed from romantic to buetiful to mean to ugly to downright hideously morbid.Just the type of portraits i can enjoy admiring as make the enemy suffer or bless him with a worldly gift and friendship.Another great touch is being able to see ones enemies battle each other giving one a chance to learn more quickly what units do what and who is best at destroying them.Another strategy game to get lost in. |
