Mystery has jacked up a piece that deals with the serious dissatisfaction of the ranting on Asheron's Call being produced by journalists lately. Here's a small something:Asheron's Call is a great example of how lowering the bar has brought forth similar complaints from the old guard. I read it everywhere: AC has devolved into a template-loving, 3rd Party product using, macro sleeping-with bunch of l33t d00ds that threaten to leave whenever a developer has the audacity to attempt to balance the game. And who's to blame for this? Well, Turbine, obviously, as they've turned a blind eye to all of these happenings, openly advocating the use of helper products and macros. Why can't we have it like it used to be? The full story is up at Massive Multiplayer.org |
