NWVault has posted beta impressions from the now officially closed Neverwinter Nights Beta, together with 23 screenshots, showing the pregenerated characters from the official release (they are not allowed to publish those from the beta). Here's a bit:
The first time I logged on, I had had some problems connecting to a server and eventually found out that it was my dreaded ATI drivers that needed to be upgraded after which I have never experienced a problem connecting. There were a few times in the very beginning of testing that I was disconnected and had trouble reconnecting as the game still thinks my CD key in use and I received an error saying my CD is unauthorized. This usually takes 5 to 10 minutes before the game lets go of my key and after the first few days, this problem stopped happening completely.

There were two modules to choose from. The first was a prelude module which goes over the basic things you need to know to play as well as an introductory story element. The second is a portion of chapter one of the single player campaign. I won't spoil it for you except to say that they are extremely well done and fun to play.

All the prelude modules allowed a single person to join and most of the chapter one modules allowed for up 6 people to connect. The ping times reported for the modules were fairly low for me, usually under 100, though there doesn't appear to be a place in the game to see what your network status is.
